"The best investment you can make is in yourself. Self care, self love, and self development. Give more to yourself and you will have more to give to others." - Akiroq Brost

As women, we often don't put ourselves on our own to do list. We often do this without question because it's instinctual to be all encompassing and available to our spouses, children, and work. We don't think much about this unsustainable lifestyle until we burn out from fatigue. It is at that point, that we seek a resolution.

The Spa in Me, LLC, wants to place women on a self-care path by helping them realize they are worthy of making themselves a priority. For this reason we have planned a women's retreat, The Rest, Reset and Restore Retreat , on  October 27, 2018, from 8am-5pm, in Dripping Springs, Texas, at Onion Creek KItchens at Juniper Hills Farm.

Consider this retreat a well-deserved respite from any situation you are enduring in your life. When you give yourself "me" time, you build the fortitude to deal with life's most difficult situations. During the retreat, you will have an opportunity to eat tasty vegetarian food, meet other women who are also seeking refuge, enjoy soothing music, and participate in exciting self-care modalities that you can implement when you return home.

This retreat is only for one day. We planned a brief get-away because we understand that not everyone can leave home for days at a time. However, if you are in the Austin, Texas, area, give yourself permission to simply inhale and do something exciting for you. Not only will you benefit, but you will return home happier, lighter, and ready to share yourself with others.

When The Body Forces You To Stop

by Sandra Foreman August 05, 2018

"When the body forces you to STOP, it's saying, hey buddy, you've gone too far." - Jacqueline Escolme

I'm guilty as charged. Throughout the years, I’ve made it a practice to accept more commitments than I could reasonably handle. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Even with church, family, work, exercise, etc., I sometimes obligate myself to do more than I should.

Never Take Life For Granted

"Never take life for granted. Savor every sunrise, because no one is promised tomorrow...or even the rest of today." - Eleanor Brown.

We live each day believing we will have a predictable routine. We sleep, wake up, eat throughout the day, attend school or work, drive our kids to their after school activities, go home,...
