Release Fear - Walk in Authenticity

by Sandra Foreman July 08, 2018

“If you celebrate your differences, the world will, too. It believes exactly what you tell it-through the words you use to describe yourself, the actions you take to care for yourself, and the choices you make to express yourself. Tell the world you are a one-of-a kind creation who came here to experience wonder and spread joy. Expect to be accommodated.” – Victoria Moran

Let’s talk about releasing fear to walk in our authenticity. I believe we are all unique beings. Sometimes, we wear a mask to shield our interests, opinions, hobbies, etc., from others, because it’s not mainstream, or it’s too different from what other people are doing. When we hide a part of our identity because of the unknown reaction or perception of others, we do ourselves and others a disservice.

Currently, there is so much darkness and harshness in the world. It’s quite likely that your differences are what a segment of the population needs right now. Your unveiling to reveal your true self could be the beam of light that represents hope for others that are also not living in alignment with who they really are or what has meaning to them. If you feel lost and don’t know what you enjoy, then it’s time to start exploring. Try different hobbies, take community classes, join social club, volunteer etc. The possibilities are endless. When you finally find that perfect match, then proclaim it proudly.

I Have Found Such Joy

In some ways it improves my mood, even if only momentarily. Here is one poem that I hope will bring you some joy, or at least a smile on your face as you read it.

Summer has arrived. In this season, our reaction can differ. For some of us, summer is a time to slow down if we work in professions that allow us break away during the months of June through August. For others, our work lives continue with the additional responsibility to arrange reliable childcare or summer camps, which can add financial burdens and worries.
