Dare To Be

by Sandra Foreman August 19, 2018

Discouragement can engulf our spirit. At home and at work, we question what it is that we can do. How can we make life better for those that are suffering on a daily basis?

We feel the heavy weight and burdens carried by others, even when we are not directly impacted. I call that pain compassion and we can use it for a greater good. We can find like-minded people who share our same interests and quest to make a difference.

I share the following entry as encouragement to find how you can make the world just a little bit brighter.

From Life, the Truth, and Being Free
Dare to Be by Steve Maraboli
When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When something seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great, too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare to be the best you can-
At all times, Dare to Be!

I Have Found Such Joy

by Sandra Foreman July 14, 2019

In some ways it improves my mood, even if only momentarily. Here is one poem that I hope will bring you some joy, or at least a smile on your face as you read it.

Summertime

by Sandra Foreman June 23, 2019

Summer has arrived. In this season, our reaction can differ. For some of us, summer is a time to slow down if we work in professions that allow us break away during the months of June through August. For others, our work lives continue with the additional responsibility to arrange reliable childcare or summer camps, which can add financial burdens and worries.
