Dare To Be

by Sandra Foreman August 19, 2018

Discouragement can engulf our spirit. At home and at work, we question what it is that we can do. How can we make life better for those that are suffering on a daily basis?

We feel the heavy weight and burdens carried by others, even when we are not directly impacted. I call that pain compassion and we can use it for a greater good. We can find like-minded people who share our same interests and quest to make a difference.

I share the following entry as encouragement to find how you can make the world just a little bit brighter.

From Life, the Truth, and Being Free
Dare to Be by Steve Maraboli
When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When something seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great, too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare to be the best you can-
At all times, Dare to Be!

Review: NKJV Study Bible

by Sandra Foreman January 13, 2019

During times of distress, struggles, and inner turmoil, there is nothing better than reading. It is during these times when we may seek the meaning to our lives by reading the Bible. However, understanding the scriptures and stories in the Bible can sometimes feel overwhelming. To remedy this problem, Thomas Nelson, has authored the NKJV Study Bible, which I received from The Blythe Daniel Agency, Inc. I find this study guide to be quite practical, useful, and easy to comprehend. Watch this brief video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tleEMGjjfaw for how NKJV Study Bible may apply to your life.

When The Body Forces You To Stop

by Sandra Foreman August 05, 2018

"When the body forces you to STOP, it's saying, hey buddy, you've gone too far." - Jacqueline Escolme

I'm guilty as charged. Throughout the years, I’ve made it a practice to accept more commitments than I could reasonably handle. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Even with church, family, work, exercise, etc., I sometimes obligate myself to do more than I should.
