Summer has arrived. In this season, our reaction can differ. For some of us, summer is a time to slow down if we work in professions that allow us break away during the months of June through August. For others, our work lives continue with the additional responsibility to arrange reliable childcare or summer camps, which can add financial burdens and worries. And, then, there are a significant number of us who may have the opportunity to arrange our schedules to slow down during this time in any number of ways.
Have you ever read a poem that stimulates your emotions and memories? It happens quite often to me, and is the one reason I enjoy reading poems that speak about self-love, compassion, kindness, and gratitude. Whenever I’m having an off day, I’ll reach for a poem. In some ways it improves my mood, even if only momentarily. Here is one poem that I hope will bring you some joy, or at least a smile on your face as you read it.
The Spa in Me, LLC, wants to place women on a self-care path by helping them realize they are worthy of making themselves a priority. For this reason we have planned a women's retreat, The Rest, Reset and Restore Retreat , on October 27, 2018, from 8am-5pm, in Dripping Springs, Texas, at Onion Creek KItchens at Juniper Hills Farm.
